Year 6 Residential Trip 3rd – 5th June 2020
It is with regret that we have to announce the cancellation of our Y6 residential trip to London. We are currently working with the tour providers and insurance companies with regards to payments and will have more information in due course. Please be patient at this difficult time. We will be in touch soon.
Monday 25th May
Hello Year 6,
It's half term this week! Make sure you have a break and relax - there are no suggested activities for you to complete during this week :)
You will find the resources for the week beginning Monday 1st June below. They have been uploaded early as our laptops are being updated over half term. Like usual, there is no expectation for this work to be completed as they are only suggestions, but it is there for you if you wanted bits to do. I have also added a video in the Video Resource Centre saying hello and discussing this term's focus - your transition to secondary school (exciting times!).
Keep in touch by using the Contact Mr Hawkins form (even over half term as I will have my iPad). Can't wait to hear from you.

Keeping Healthy and Well-being!
You should ensure that you exercise regularly - this is good for your physical and mental wellbeing. You could do one of the Yoga videos or a Joe Wicks workout - or why not try to create your own work out!
Welcome to Year 6 - the Deer Class
The Class Teacher is Mr Hawkins and the Teaching Assistant is Mrs Duncan, however other adults in school will be working in the class throughout the year too. We are incredibly excited about this year and we cannot wait to share another year with the wonderful children.
Our topic for Term 4 is: Natural World - Can anything good come from a disaster? We will be exploring different natural disasters and how they are formed, examining their impact geographically and if anything good can come from these deadly events.
Our previous topic was World War Two: what impact did this have on Boston and the world? We learned all about the causes of World War Two, its impact on Boston and around the world, Kindertransport and discrimination, linking to the Holocaust. Our texts in English were Anne Frank's diary, as well as 'Letters from the Lighthouse' by Emma Carroll.
Indoor P.E will usually be on Wednesdays and Outdoor P.E will be on Thursdays. Please ensure that P.E kits are in school on these days. Homework will be sent home every Monday and should be returned to school by Friday at the latest.
