Welcome to Year 6 - the Deer Class
The Class Teacher is Mr Hawkins and the Teaching Assistant is Mrs Duncan, however other adults in school will be working in the class throughout the year too. We are incredibly excited about this year and we cannot wait to share another year with the wonderful children.
Our next topic is World War Two: what impact did this have on Boston and the world? We will be learning all about the causes of World War Two, its impact on Boston and around the world, Kindertransport and discrimination, linking to the Holocaust. Our texts in English will be a child-friendly version of Anne Frank's diary, as well as 'Letters from the Lighthouse' by Emma Carroll.
Indoor P.E will usually be on Wednesdays and Outdoor P.E will be on Thursdays. Please ensure that P.E kits are in school on these days. Homework will be sent home every Monday and should be returned to school by Friday at the latest.
