Ant and Dec have teamed up with NSPCC to create a special video for children. Please watch their virtual assembly by clicking on the link below:

It has some advice for children who may be worrying about Coronavirus and the impact on their family, as well as other important advice and words of encouragement.

Summer Term 2 Remote Learning

We hope you and your family are keeping well in these unusual times.

As part of our plans to support remote teaching and learning, we will be utilising the resources from Oak National Academy.

This online classroom has been created by teachers specifically to support pupils’ learning at home. Oak is a free website available at www.thenational.academy. It is backed by the Department for Education, and in the document below you will find a table to signpost to a range of lessons from across the curriculum.

You can access Oak’s online classroom on any device, you don’t need to log in or remember a password. Each lesson is delivered by a trained teacher, over a pre-recorded video, and it’s very clear at the start of each session anything you might need (such as pens, paper etc). The lessons are designed to need minimal supervision, although this will depend on the age of your child.

All class teachers are aware of the work being set for their year groups and can be emailed at any time; however, due to some members of staff working with groups of children in school, responses may be slower than usual. To contact teachers directly, continue to use the Contact Us section below.

Along with the lessons provided from the Oak National Academy, we have tried to include some extra activities, which are linked to the project the children would have been doing in this summer term.

Each week there will be a video uploaded from Mrs Davies on the Video Resource Centre so please continue to check this page for updates.

Keep safe and remember to keep smiling!

Hello Little Foxes,

How are you? I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you for everything you are doing at home. You are helping to keep everyone safe at the moment and although it still seems a little strange- You are true super heroes!

I loved talking to you last week on the phone-I have really missed your little voices! During our little catch ups last week, lots of you told me that you were keeping in touch with each other by sending messages or video calling. That's a great way to keep in contact and to stay connected to one another. I just wanted to remind you about our great internet safety assembly and how it is important to be kind and respectful online. There was one important line that stood out for me:

'Be kind online, choose not to hate because it's the difference that makes us great!'

I know as your teacher, the wonderful people you are in class, so please continue to be like this online too!

Have a look at the websites below for top tips on how to stay safe on line:

Thank you to everyone who has been sending me some pictures and messages what you have been getting up to at home- they really do brighten my day! Please keep them coming.

I miss you lots!

Stay safe,

Mrs Davies
