Hot Meals

We are now in a position to be able to accommodate hot meal provision again in school.

To order, please log in to your Willoughby Foods account by midnight on Tuesdays to order for the following week.

We look forward to getting back to the most healthy and balanced nutrition to fuel our children's learning.

18.03.2020 - A message received today from Willoughby Foods:

Good afternoon, I hope you are well.

Just to confirm that if your school is forced to close all meals ordered will be cancelled and credits placed on the account for those paid meals.

In light of the current situation the deadline for ordering meals for returning to schools after easter will be Tuesday the 14th of April.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to receive a free piece of fruit or vegetable each school day as part of the Government’s School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.

This provides one of their 5 A DAY portions. It also helps to increase awareness of the importance of eating fruit and vegetables and encourages healthy eating habits that can be carried into later life.

One item of fruit or vegetable is provided each day at morning break time.

Key Stage 2 Children are encouraged to bring a healthy snack to school to eat at morning break time.

From September 2014, in line with the government Universal Free School Meals policy, the school provides free cooked meals for all pupils in Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2)
Pupils in Key Stage 2 continue to be able to purchase a meal.

Free meals are also available for families on qualifying benefits.  If you think your family may be entitled you can apply by calling at the school office for an application form or by entering your details online: https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/schools-and-education/free-school-meals/ Qualifying families are also entitled to free milk.

All parents are able to purchase milk for their child to drink at morning break time through the Cool Milk scheme www.coolmilk.com  The price is currently just 22 pence per day. We have a limited number of information leaflets at the school office.
